Last night, a brand-new DVD player. Next month, two songs in the Kerygma Songwriting Contest grand finals. Over the past few months, gift packs, gift certificates, ex-deals, bags, free trips and services. What's my secret?
Some call it luck. Me, I shine the spotlight back on the real source:
Jehovah Jireh. God the Provider.
Don't believe me? Feel a little cynical? Are your eyes rolling up in your head?
In 2007, I have had too many blessings to count, including the healthy birth of my daughter, the promotion of both my wife and me, a new car, a diet that seems to be working, victory at these blogger events, and, thankYouFathermostespeciallyforthisone, two songs in the Kerygma Songwriting Contest, an unbelievable blessing that I pray will signal great things for me in entering the industry as a songwriter.
Some will call it luck. Some will call it feng shui. Some will call it coincidence. I call it grace. I attribute it to the hand of God.
God wants His kids to be provided for, and He does the providing Himself. It says so in Jer 29:11:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."Consider His blessings for me as a Christian blogger. The Lord has prospered me at local blogger events. At the BlogParteeh in January, a gift cert from Bubba Gump. At the first Taste Asia party, a beautiful Secosana bag (and the bigger prize, free to everyone, bottomless cream puffs from Crazy Choco!).
Last night, I was privileged to place in a three-way tie for third at
SM Hypermarket's first-ever blogging contest. I took home a brand-new DVD player for my blog entry on SM Hypermarket.
God wants the world to see His kids do well, and He's really outdone Himself for me at blogger events. Three events, two raffle prizes, one prize for blogwriting. Feng shui? Coincidence? Please.
Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." (1 Cor 1:30-31)
What do I give Him in return? Credit! :D Nahum 1:7 tells us God knows those who trust in Him; . As a Christian blogger, it is my joy and privilege to praise God and honor Jesus Christ in my blogs. In my life, I have received much, only because of God's grace, which I have, in turn, received free and undeserved.
My name is Ganns, and in good times and bad, I am privileged to be a son of God.
